I’m a born and bred Filipina mom of 2 living in Hong Kong. Filipino food is an obsession and my favorite Filipino word is gigil. I spent the last 14 years making documentaries for major TV broadcasters and am now creating content for the online world.

I grew up in the Philippines and moved to the US for grad school not realizing I would stay 12 years (and counting!) and start a family. I finished my Phd in Child Development and am doing applied research work in early childhood education (what's that? :)) I would say just a systematic way of finding out the best ways children learn, teachers teach etc. During the past 12 years I have lived in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Chicago, and Boston. I am now based in Seattle with my husband, Kevin, our toddler Hanna and puggle, Iggy. I am hoping Hanna, Kevin (and Iggy) will share my love for crispy pata, sisig, pansit palabok and mangga’t bagoong and learn how to use my favorite Pinoy expressions, hay naku, bahala na si batman and yihee!
